use of "te" rather than "tu"

Question

"nous descendrons "te" rejoindre dans la cuisine"  This is how that appeared in the corrected dictation.  What is "te" in reflexive verbs?  Is this a misprint?

Nous descendrons te rejoindre. -- We'll come down to meet you.Te is the direct object of the sentence. It's not a misprint.

"Te" is a form of "tu" as the object of a verb. "Tu" is used when it is the subject of a verb.
