Using "bon" for a person

Hi, I'm a bit confused if we can use "bon" for a person?

It's from this sentence [Il est très bon] when the "il" refers to Tom Cruise .

Appreciate your help, thanks!

Hi Pucah,

Just to add to what Chris has already said (and which is correct),  in the actual question 'bon' refers to the film and not the actor -

Julie regarde un film de Tom Cruise, il est très bon .

To refer to the actor you would have to say -

Il est très bon dedans = He is very good in it

Bonne Continuation !

Sure, you can use bon for a person. Il est très bon by itself sounds a bit like "he is a good guy", though.
