Verb Tense

Hi there, I was wondering if you could explain the present tense in the following sentence:

Mais c'était avant qu'ils ne reçoivent plus de 15 millions de paquets de la part des 26.000 buralistes de France...

Why is "reçoivent" in present (subjunctive)?

Thanks!

Hi Ash,

It sure is a subjunctive present and here is the relevant Kwiziq lesson -

Bonne Continuation!

You might also want to look at the explanation of which tense to use in the subjunctive in the following lesson. I think the logic is similar.

Jusqu'à ce que + Le Subjonctif = Until [someone] does [something]
