Zaïre also an exception?

Perhaps even in another lesson on this site, but certainly in other references have seen 'le Zaïre' as an exception to the "-e rule" - I believe it is also masculine and should be added to the list in this lesson.  For example https://www.thoughtco.com/say-countries-of-world-in-french-4080349

Hi Maarten, 

Thank you for pointing this out and Le Zaïre is indeed masculine but so is 'Le Maroc' which is not included either.

The examples we give are just to help you start building up your own list and questions like yours help to do just that.
