la pomme de terreBonjour et excuse moi :) For the potato that we say la pomme de terre, why don't we say "la pomme de la terre" ? I mean shouldnt we use le /la/les as possesive after de?? Merci beaucoup

Est-il acceptable utiliser en avec quelqun (any) region/état/province? Salut! Au fin du leçon il dit "Note that en is also acceptable for reasons of pronunciation." Est-il acceptable utiliser 'en' avec tous les regions/états/provinces? Cela rendrait cette règle plus faciles à retenir!

Past participles as adjectivesIn the example soyez decus, the past participle operates as an adjective . Are there any restrictions on this use? Is it possible to use any past participle that fits the bill?

Odile got dressed before having her breakfast. (le passé composé vs. l'imparfait)Why is "Odile got dressed before having her breakfast." translated as "Odile s'habillait..."? In my understanding this is a one-time action which happened in the past. It is, thus, a perfect candidate for the Passé composé: "Odile s'est habillée...", n'est-ce pas? -- Chris.
