ArticlesNot to belabour Stuart's question but, does this mean that technically "Je n'aime ni le fromage ni le lait." means "I like neither the cheese nor the milk.", referring to a specific cheese and milk versus categorically.

Tout va bien chez vousHi - just a bit confused on this one. I noticed we have used va and not allez, but we have used vous and not toi (ie va with toi, and allez with vous). Is that because "va" is referring to "Tout" being masculine singular and not the person we are talking to? ie - can you say "tout va bien chez toi" to someone familiar or is this a fixed expression..??

Partir vs quitterI'm a bit unsure about the difference between these two. If you leave the job then it's quitter, but if you leave Paris, perhaps for good but perhaps not are both possible?

Refering to ideas with en/y/leAs far as I understand, when refering to a phrase without repeating it, one uses "en" if it begins with "de", "y" if it begins with "à" and le/la/les otherwise. This rule failed me on the latest B1 writing challenge: "One day, I'm sure [of it]," -> "Un jour, je le/y/en suis certain," (I haven't even seen the phrase that le/y/en refers to yet, so how can I chose?). "the dead will come back to life" -> "les morts reviendront à vie". Ok, now we know what to be sure of: "Un jour, les morts reviendront à vie". That doesn't start with either à or de, so I guessed that "le" was the word to use in the first sentence, but the answer says "en", and I'm confused.

A question about one of the above sentencesIn the sentence above that says "Elle a une petite voix: on l'entend peu", why is that translated as "She has a small voice: We don't hear her much". I would have thought that "on l'entend peu" would have translated to 'we hear her much'. Would you please explain this? Thank you. Catherine

Indefinite article"I buy milk" -> « j'achète DU lait » French sometimes need articles that English can do without. Are they always used? Consider an informal shopping list: "To buy: bread, milk, carrots..." Would a native frenchman write « À acheter: du pain, du lait, des carottes...» ?
