Just took the Kwiz on my lesson plan and the question was to fill in the blank for this sentence:

"__________________ hier quand je lui ai marche sur le pied."("I hurt Olive yesterday when I stepped on her foot.")

Here was my answer, which was marked wrong:

"J'ai fait mal à Olivier hier quand je lui ai marche sur le pied."

My mistake? It wasn't at all the grammar. I simply typed Olivier instead Olive, probably because subconsciously Olivier seems like a French name to me, whereas Olive doesn't.

Now, although I understand this lesson completely and thoroughly, I will be marked down and have to do several more tests just to get back to where I was instead getting the extra percentage points that I should have gotten. 

May I suggest that a simple typo with a name - which is completely irrelevant to the lesson - should be marked as "almost correct" and the answer be given the total points.

Bonjour!  Can someone help me with this sentence - in particular the word "en."   I am a little confused about why "en" is used along with "un épisode."  I probably would have written J'en regarderai un ce soir to mean I will watch one tonight.  Merci pour votre aide !

How to conjugate sentences  with these?

How do you know when to drop the subject? (Apart from a feeling) 

Such as: "Parlez plus lentement", nôtres "Parlez vous..."

Context and interpretation is not being considered in My answers... Why? 

I ask this because I would like to know if They want Direct Translations or do They want to Same Essence of what is being said?

I understand about the "l'orientation" part, but shouldn't this read "Je n'ai jamais eu DE sens . . .." ?   In negative sentences, we are told to use "de" after a negative express in order to express no/any, which seems to be exactly what this sentence is doing.  Why translate "I've never had A good sense of direction" with a definite article?

Recently I came across with the phrase le tour de magie, here tour is meaning trick, is that right? Would it be useful to include this meaning as well at this lesson?
