s'en occuperIl s'en occupe tout de suite. Why is "He takes care of them right away." correct but "He takes care of him right away" is wrong. What in that sentence says "them" but not "him"?"

"Si" clause in Plus-que-perfect

In the writing challenge: Not the festival type, the translation given for "If I'd known how it would be" is Si j'avais su comment ça se passerait

May I know why we use plus-que-perfect in the “Si” clause and a conditionnel present in the result clause? Based on what I have learned in French grammar, when the pluperfect tense is used in the “Si” clause, the past conditional tense has to be used in the result clause.

Why Subjunctive

Hello,

I am very confused why this is the subjunctive and not the conditional. I am still having some trouble between the two at times.

J’achèterai la voiture à condition qu’elle soit en bon état.
I’ll buy the car provided that it’s in good condition.

This seems like it should be conditional because it is saying that *if* a condition is met, something will ensue. Why is it not the conditional?

Why isn't it: J'ai bu un tierce de la bouteille.

using le as a pronounI should know this, but can you tell me when using le as a pronoun which comes after the preposition 'de' is the rule that it never becomes' Du'?

I incorrectly did that with the following sentence

Mais quand ma meilleure amie Miriam a décidé de le faire

Bring, take, lead

I am trying to determine when to use 'emmener' and when to use 'amener' and to some extent 'apporter'. All of the examples seem to imply that the first two refer to people, whereas 'apporter' refers to things. Is that right? Is there any guidance regarding the usage of 'emmener' vice 'amener' ? Both translate to take or bring and in some contexts the meaning is lead. Thanks.

Salut. "Dont" c'est un pronom relatif qui me confond toujours -- quelquefois je me sens que je le comprends un peu mieux.

"Un traitement antirétroviral prophylactique est proposé à celles dont la test est positif"

Pourquoi dont? avec quoi s'accord il? peut-on dire ".... a celles pour qui la test est positif"?
