Following on from Henrik's question about distinguishing between singular and pluriel. I heard that she was making multiple costumes (no doubt due to the other mothers' apathy as pointed out below), but the next bit is "j'ai jusqu'à lundi pour que tout soit terminé" . I thought that it would be "pour que tous soient terminés" because multiple costumes. But those 2 options really would sound identical wouldn't they? Would they both be equally correct in this exercise?

I have checked with 3 different dictionaries i.e. Le Robert de Poche, Harrap’s Shorter French and English dictionary and Wordreference online. Each one defines ski boot as “après-ski” as opposed to “botte de neige” . 

Which is the correct response?

How would you say "By the time he came, I had fixed the machine." ?

 for which the correct answer was...

For me, this is a past event and ‘came’ is the past tense but in French you actually need to say « by the time he comes, I had fixed the machine » in English (speaking, at least)?

In lesson 2 of 10 in A1, on the quiz I was marked as incorrect when I included "He was not..."  as a translation for "On..."  They said that "we" and "you" were acceptable translations, but "he" was not.  I do not understand why not.    I watched the video & read the lesson, but it did not answer my question.
