Nous vs on

Why does the text switch from using 'nous' and 'on'  as in 'ce qui nous ferait une nuit de plus à la belle étoile/on fera les courses'

In the alternative translations, where nous is used, on was not an option. How do you know when to use nous and when to use on?

Bonjour f,

Here "nous" is not the equivalent of the subject pronoun "on" but the indirect object pronoun "nous". That's why you have only one option.

Faire quelque chose à quelqu'un:

ce qui ferait à toi et moi une nuit de plus à la belle étoile -> ce qui nous ferait une nuit de plus à la belle étoile

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
