"Espérons qu'ils gagnent une autre médaille d'or". Is not the intent to wish for a future happening? So saying "Let's hope that they will win another gold medal" is correct? "Espérons qu'ils gagneront une autre médaille d'or". ??
Why can't we say "N'importe que se passe" to say "Whatever happens"
I got this exercise wrong on the qwiz, but I don't see any explanation in the A2 Stress Pronouns lesson on why you would use "elle" rather than "lui." Isn't "lui" supposed to be for either gender?

In the example sentence "Le meilleur élève parle mieux français que moi." it really sounds to me like parle mieux becomes par lemieux, with the lemieux being very distinct. I've seen that before. Is there a reason for it?
In the last sentence, "I will go there to cheer you on.", the word 'there' is translated as 'là' and the use of 'y' was not accepted. Is it just a question of emphasis? I searched for a lesson to clarify the usage of 'y' and 'là' but was not successful. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
