Je m’en veux mais il n’y a rien que je puisse faire pour y échapper.Hello. In your Week 35 B2 writing test, the above phrase triggers the subjunctive. It translates as: "I feel bad about it, but there's nothing that I can do to get out of it!" I suspect that it may be the emotion "I feel bad ... that" that triggers the subjunctive, because no desire or need is shown. However I'd be very grateful for any further help with this (extremely idiomatic) phrase! Thank-you

I got my ba vs i received my baIn the lesson il,a eu so ba is translated as he got his ba but in the quiz as he received his ba. Are they the same. Received seems like an award ceremony but got more like passed?

Subjonctif futur"J'ai peur que tu ne le fasses" means "I'm scared you'll do it" according to one test. But shouldn't it rather be "I'm scared you are doing it"? There seems to be no subjonctif futur in French?

Son amieIn some other lesson I read that we use ´son' for amie. This is probably to ease pronunciation. My question is what is the rule if there is an adjective between son and amie that doesn't begin with a vowel. Is son petit ´amie' or ' sa petite ami' correct?

How do you replace a noun with a preposition other than à or de please?Il faut que j’achète un cadeau pour son anniversaire. I must buy a present for his birthday. I know you can use the adverbial pronoun y to replace 'à + noun', and en to replace 'de + noun', but how would you replace 'pour son anniversaire' in the sentence above please? In order to make the sentence: I must buy a present for it? [Am i right in thinking this called replacing an object of a preposition with a pronoun?]

RE the example about the television: the speaker seems to be talking about two specific tv sets, but the comparative chosen is, "mieux." Why would it not be, "meilleur?"
