When I get an exercise starting with "Quand j'étais petit" I always think of the song by the same name by Ultra Vomit, a French comedy-metal band. I didn't even know comedy-metal was a genre before I heard them!

In the lesson: Raise your hand please, I used votre main since clearly another person is involved, the one telling someone else to raise her hand. Why is la main the correct usage? Thanks much. 

Hi, in a reversed expression such as

Qu'est-ce qui te plaît chez Anna ?

which is the subject and which is the object? 

I’m guessing that the subject is that aspect of Anna’s personality which causes ‘you’ to like her. Therefore, since ‘you’ receive pleasure from that part of her personality, ‘you’ are the object. 

Is that correct?

Why is est being used with coincer ? Why can’t we say elle a coincé ….?

Or as we know that with depuis, we use present tense , then why can’t we say…. Elle coince là….?

I seem to recall that when using the subjunctive in English we would use "may." I don't see "may" used in any of the English translations. Is my understanding of the use of "may" out of date or just plain wrong? Thanks!
