Pronunciation of the -i- in Yorkshire

In the lesson the -i- in Yorkshire is not pronounced as an "ee'' sound (like the ee in ‘fee’ for example) as I would expect, could you please clarify. Thank you.

What if direct object pronoun follows que ?

In the sentence "Fiona est la fille que nous avons invitée" - Can it also be translated that Fiona is the girl who invited us (nous as us)?

Pronnciation of "cru que"

I am confused by the pronunciation given here for the sentence "Elle a cru que c'était Valentin, mais c'était quelqu'un d'autre." The recorded voice sounds as if there is an s at the end of the word "cru".
