My French teacher just discussed that words such as Intelligent, imprimer, australien, fin.... All utilise a short "ang" nasal sound rather like what is used with the english word 'sang'. (The phonetic sound is identified with a symbol resembling epsilon with a squiggly over it- ɛ̃).  Listening to your recordings it sounds a lot like "ung" to me. Are both pronunciations OK? On Google it sounds like your usual recording (ung-), but on reverso it sounds just like 'ang-ɛ̃'. Clarification would be so welcome.

What is the meaning and use of 'que'?

But in the text, country and region names are never accompanied by the definite article. E.g., "Duché de Bretagne," "royaume de France," "couronne de France," etc. 

Also, I translated "beforehand" as "à l'avance" instead of "au préalable," which I thought were the same thing, but it wasn't one of the accepted answers.

why is the sentence wrong?  " je suis désolée qu'ils s'en soient allés sans que l'on puisse leur dire au revoir.  the "s'en aller" is wrong ... explain why.

Would it be possible to say je SERAI enfin la Reine during château at the end? If I'm feeling very positive that this will come about cf just imagining a theoretical case where it would? I understand conditional would then be required.  

Does this mean you can't use quand in the present?

is the "ou" supposed to be "ou`"? as in where, not or.
