How do you say this in French, please?: "she could have had"could; should; would ! .. these compound constructions are a little difficult. What are the rules, if any, please?

Avoir + Transitive & Etre + IntransitiveSo in general, when a verb is both transitive and intransitive, we should use avoir with the transitive version, and when applicable, use etre with the intransitive version?

Imparfait vs. Passé composéI have having problems figuring out when I need to use imparfait in my conversations. For example, I understand that imparfait is used when expressing a thought that took place in the past. So does that mean every thought that I had in the past is put into imparfait?

Donc, alors and ainsi, are they synonymous and interchangeable?

A) As 'so' in sentences such as:

1) So, I'm ready for a drink.

2) I've been working in the garden so I am ready for a drink.

B) Any general advice?

Kwik Kwiz Question 1Hello, why is it that in all the examples in this lesson 'chaque' means 'each' but the options of answers to this question (Chaque mardi, je vais à la bibliothèque) do not have that as an option (I thought the meaning was 'Each Tuesday, I go to the library')? Hi, In the examples above, 'j'aime Paris' means 'I lové Paris'. If 'j'aime beaucoup Paris' means 'I like Paris a lot', them how do you say plain old 'I like Paris'?
