hi,

I took the test and i understand that Switzerland is feminine but why is there a masculine pronoun ils at the beginning? ils detesent la suisse. Shouldn't it be elles not ils?

Why is it just à and not à + le = au

How to say famous in French: It's OK to say" célèbre Cité du Vin", but not "célèbre Fontaine des 3 Grâces" -- only "fameuse" is correct there. Why?

Monté les escaliers Bonjour, According to my French teacher and on some websites, the correct way to say “You went up the stairs in silence.” is “Tu es monté les escaliers en silence.” as opposed to “Tu as monté les escaliers en silence.” Can you please clarify? Thanks!

spoon names and sizesI'm puzzled by you're translating 'teaspoon' as 'une cuillère à café'. Surely it should be 'une cuillère à thé'? I've also heard 'une petite cuillère'. I would expect to reserve 'une cuillère à café' for a coffee spoon, a different, smaller item.

The position of délicieux in relation to the noun it is describing.

Why is "délicieux" placed before the noun in A great weekend and A Thanksgiving gift, "un délicieux repas" but after the noun in A romantic trip to Paris "des vins délicieux"
