What is the difference between the usage of 'avant que' + subjonctif and 'avant de' + indicatif? Are there certain situations where can only use one or the other?

wouldnt the phrase je vais skier translate to "im going to ski" and not I go skiing?
Wouldnt you say en hiver, je fait du skie or something like that?

In a recent writing exercise I was asked to translate, “I took the little creature in my arms and I took him back to his home.” You translated “took back” with ramener. Ramener stems from mener meaning to lead. As the dog was being carried surely the correct translation in this case is rapporter.
In the final sentence, I was expecting "ensemble" to be placed immediately after "lit", as reading is the thing being done together. Can someone explain why it isn't, please?

Hi, I was surprised to see that “tous mes amis ont crié” did not use “criés”. Is this because “tous mes amis” is singular (a single group)? And would “mes amis ont criés” be correct (linguistically speaking, not a group, but multiple individuals)?
