The question was: "Les parents sont ____________ la Poste." The hint sais that the parents were at the post office. My response was "Les parents sont dans la Poste." QUIZBOT said that the correct response is "Leas parenat sont a (with accent) la Poste. Why is "dans" not correct?
Je veux etudier des sujets autres que le passe simple, mais le programme me donne 9 questions du passe simple sur 10 dans chaque test, meme si j'active le test a partir des lecons sur d'autres sujets. Comment sortir de cet engrenage?

I understand it's not the strictly proper, dictionary-perfect way to say that, but it's valid and there was no indication in the way the question was phrased that it was specifically the ne construction I was expected to use -- and nothing else.
for "mardi prochain"? the quiz asks about mardi prochain. I fully understand using the present for near future. got it. But "next Tuesday" is not so "near" that the future tense should be wrong! at least both options should be right.
Just a quick question. Is qu’est-ce que + noun always more formal? I found it a bit confusing that
a. the last two examples of it in Section 3 have no further mention of register and
b. in Sections 1 and 3 the examples go from less to more elegant, whereas in 2 it’s the other way round.
Do realise this is an A0 lesson, but the concepts behind it are quite challenging.
I took a quiz. I translated "They are calling their dog" as Ils appellent leur chien. However, the correct answer was: Ils s'appellent leur chien. How does one know when to use the reflexive?
In the translation of, "I've always been fascinated by French high fashion, of which Yves Saint-Laurent is one of the most iconic figures.", do we use l'une instead of l'un because of the agreement with the 'la figure' ?
