When do you know that this object is a direct object or indirect object.

So how are we going to know  if the question  is a formal or an informal one

When to use de alone or when to use de with the article le or la - that is the question

I was wondering as I am understanding adjectives. I'm confused on extrêmement! There was a sentence in my book that saying un extrêmement vieux livre but it was marked wrong when I put extrêmement at the end of the noun live. Why is that wrong?

Am I missing something? Why are there no "practice" exercises? My style of learning involves some practice of the chosen subject - sometimes LOTS of practice. As far as I can tell, you provide no practice exercises. I often have to search my other French books for appropriate practice.

Why is it "je m'assurerai ..." and not "je t'assurerai... " ?

Isn't "jour" masculine.  So why is it "derniere"
