I used "la" rather than "y," but that was considered wrong. How do I know when to use which?
How does "Tu as un chat'' mean "You have a cat" and "Do you have a cat?" when spoken? Simply due to the raised pitch at the end?
Je comprends pas la phrase ´faire doublon’. Mais je comprends parfaitement le mot doublon. Merci.
1. In the numbers test, quatre-cent-cinq was a correct answer. We don't use cinque for numbers above 100?
2. In the lesson you have deux-cents (with a hyphen), and cinq cents (no hphen). Is cinq cents an exception to the hyphenation rule?
I was wondering as I am understanding adjectives. I'm confused on extrêmement! There was a sentence in my book that saying un extrêmement vieux livre but it was marked wrong when I put extrêmement at the end of the noun live. Why is that wrong?

The answer to #7 on the calendar is la neige but I answered une boule à neige (a snow globe) because that's what it looks like to me.
Is it also OK to say:
Il on a besoin avoir du bois sec as we as il faut avoir du bois sec.
SEC is one syllable - I thought one syllable adjectives went before the noun?
What is the difference between "il semble que" and "il paraît que" in terms of usage?
quelques (plural)
Used with countable things it means a couple of, some, a few.
Il a quelques livres à lire.He has a few books to read.and peu de means little, not much of, few
Nous avons peu d'argent.We have little money.We don't have much money.Elle a peu d'amis.
