I can't seem to find a straight answer about the use of the hyphen in this situation. I know that object pronouns are attached to the positive imperative verb with a hyphen, so you would write, "Lisez-le!" I am also informed that "ça" is a pronoun. But somehow, I find "Lisez ça", not "Lisez-ça!" and I wonder if anybody has any thoughts about why.
J'ai écrit "Je n'ai pas de monnaie exacte".
Je pense que on doit utiliser "DE" au lien de "LE, LA, LES" si il est en forme de négatif, non?
Merci
Miriam
je pouvais me voir faire exactement la même chose! :)
Why does repondre keep the d in the present tense when prendre loses it and yet they are supposed to follow the same rule as irregulars?
My point of view- its equivalent in english to say- I don't like anything but apples...if you put this in mind you will not get confused. so it means you like only apples.
Je n'aime que les pommes.
Hi!
I took a C1 quiz out of curiousity just to see what kind of questions it was. Now my quizbot has started recommending C1 lessons for me. Is there any way in which I can make it start recommending things on my level again? C1 is way too hard for me. I used to know french on a B1 level, but my current level is A1 (though I'll probably reach A2 within a week or two when I've refreshed my old knowledge).
the position of profondment
i was taught aimer to love a person /like a thing
adorer to love a thing
is this no longer considered correct?
I've seen both of these as phrases on Kwiziq:
Plus je regarde la télévision...Plus je mange du chocolat... (The more I eat chocolate...)
When do we use the article (la, le) vs de la and du. Specifically, why isn't "Plus je mange le chocolat" correct here?
