I thought réunir was conjugated as an ´ir’ Verb.if it is conjugated as an ´ir’ verb The shouldn’t the third person plural in the present be réunirent and not réunissent? If it’s nor conjugated as ´ir’ then The explanation for it being irregular is not available. Does that make sens or have I missed something?

In the test one of the questions is Je ________ si j'avais une voiture.

The answer to the question is Je partirais si j'avais une voiture.

However, my question is about "j'avais une voiture." Why is it j'avais (imparfait) and not j'ai une voiture, considering that its in the present? Is this related to the subjunctif? Cause I have a feeling this has to do with the subjunctif :D

It's like contredire in the present tense.Couldn't help but notice, but lire is a lot like contredire, interdire, predire in the present conjugation. " contredis contredit contredisons contredisez contredisent. " " lis lit lisons lisez lisent. " Maybe this page should mention that as a fun fact, I know it makes remembering how to conjugate different categories of irregular verbs easier when I know that they're conjugated the same way as each other.
