In the passage, ”...nous nous sommes tous assis pour partager un festin”, I only hear one nous.

Hi all I used ( tandis que ) instead of pendant que, in the first line.  and it marked it as an erreur. any explanation for that please?.thanks.

J'ai lu trois livres dont les tiens/ les vôtres. [I read 3 books including yours.]

Is this correct? Or should it be le tien? Masculine/plural form should be used because the noun is 'les livres'? 

Checking a couple of points

Both 'shampoing' and 'shampooing' are formally accepted and used spellings, but the latter is being 'corrected' to the former here. 

A 'bottle' of shampoo is mostly advertised and sold as 'un flacon' - ' j'ai fini le flacon ' is not accepted as correct though.

In the last sentence, "Exactement Yvan ! Prenez votre temps et restez détendus !", the adjective détendus is plural; the previous comment was directed at Yvan.  I would expect the singular détendu if the comment is directed at Yvan.  Another interpretation is that the comment is directed at both Yvan and his friend or perhaps others in the group.   It is a bit ambiguous.   Do you agree?

How do you know whether or not an adjective goes before or after the noun? 

Does soi-mêmes with an 's' also exist? Can you give some examples? How does it differ from soi-même without 's'?

- Dans ce cas, on est soi-même responsable. [one is responsible oneself.]

- Dans ce cas, on est soi-mêmes responsable. [we are ourselves responsible.] Is it correct to write it with an "s" (similar to vous-même(s) or nous-mêmes for plural meanings)?

- Le soleil se lève dans l'est. 

- Le soleil se lève à l'est.

Could you please explain the difference between toucher and toucher à? What do they imply? 

Please share some examples.
