The example for dropping 'ne' explétif in speechThe example in the remark near the end of the lesson does not have a negation in the main verb, so it wouldn't need 'ne' explétif. In fact, it's exactly the same phrase that was used in the first example in this lesson: Il est venu sans que tu le saches.

"right past tense"It was asked in a question to use "faire" in right past tense. When it was left unanswered, it was suggested to use imperfect tense as per 'quick lesson'. Does "right past tense" mean "imperfect tense"? This terminology was not used in the earlier lessons on imperfect tense. Please clarify.

Statement about collective nouns in EnglishCollective nouns, such as family, team, and company are singular. The pronoun that would refer to these particular nouns is "it." A speaker may change to "they" but the speakers would be referring to family members, players, or employees. One would right, "A spokesperson for the company announced that it is profitable."

Leve-toi

Why Lève-toi and not lèves-toi. All others follow the norm i.e. Levez-toi or Levons-toi. es is the correct ending for tu.
