Je n’ai jamais aimé le goût de la viandeHello. In your week 26 A2 writing test the above line is given as a correct translation of 'I've never liked the taste of meat.' As this lesson shows I believe there may be an error here. In this context the verb describes an ongoing state of affairs, without a set start and without a set finish, (if indeed this state does end.) Unless I'm mistaken I believe this would be better expressed in the imparfait. I'd love some clarification here if possible. Thanks!

Ça coûte combien?Have often heard that phrase. Is it wrong considering that question word is at the end? Colloquial perhaps?

Quand at beginning or end?Why is ´Quand on ouvre les cadeaux ?´ an incorrect response in the testant ´On ouvre les cadeaux quand ?´ is correct? As per this lesson, when we use the inverted form, the question word is at the beginning of the sentence.

From this, can we take it that a descriptive adjective before a profession requires the whole phrase to take an article? Thanks again.

Revision KwizzesI really like the format of the site and how you see progress through tests. However I am concerned that stuff that I have learnt earlier in a section is not going to stay with me for ever.
