le deuxième degré ?Will there be a lesson covering «le deuxième degré» usage of French? I ran across this in an article that I was reading and had not heard the phrase previously. It seems that there is also «le troisième degré». premier degré = au pied de la lettre deuxième degré = humour troisième degré et plus = humour capillotracté, paludoludiverbisme, voire céphalocaptation… Merci en avance.

Any difference between 'quelque' and 'un peu de' when both mean 'a bit of'? Are they interchangeable?

On a test we have "Vous devenez de plus en plus beaux."

1. Pourquoi beaux pluriel?

2. In the audio the first plus the S is heard and the second plus the S is silent. Is it because of the liason?

In the first three example 'je' is followed by a word starting with a vowel. Why doesn't 'je' change to j'?

eg Puis-je avoir le pain, s'il vous plaît? --> Puis-j'avoir le pain?

What is the meaning of "Nous sommes avant vous dans la queue."?time: avant (before) space devant (in front of) So given the use definitions in the lesson, I am unclear the reason that «avant» is used relative to queue. To me queue is an indication of space as opposed to time. Please explain.

Is Je suis nom at least a colloquial thing that's correct?I watched Despicable Me 2 in French a while ago and I heard " Je suis (nom) " from two characters, Margo and the main villain. Is that sometimes correct?

the question about the Professor: I put Leon as it's Prefessur and not Professure (F)? But it was wrong. Is that because of neologism? so, Professure is not used?

Ma voiture ancienne I wrote: "I believe ma voiture ancienne" means my OLD car and NOT my former car, but was got the answer marked wrong and said it was my "former car". There's a glitch here with the marking of this question surely???
