it doesn't work with other moments of the dayYou wrote "To emphasise that you're talking about "the evening before", you can also use the expression la veille au soir, but it doesn't work with other moments of the day (matin, après-midi)." Then how do I say the morning before?

Why not BONNE idée?

Why isn’t “Quelle  une bonne idée” an acceptable answer as it is the most literal translation?

can you omit 'pour' ?

Just to be clear, in expressions like : 'Je vais au cinéma pour voir un film' ... presumably this implies that it is wrong to just say 'Je vais au cinéma voir un film'

Can you use eut/fut instead of avait, is that wrong?I know it's only gonna be right for literary writing and storytelling, but still. You can do that instead of the pluperfect in writing, right?

Is there anyone available to help me with my past tense grammar in French?Good evening all, I have an assignment for French and would like either an advanced or a native speaker to analyze what I have written. I am working on past tense verb usage and I am struggling a bit. It is an essay, so I figure it may be a bit extensive to post on here.
