More problems getting on the horseDid a quiz, apparently answered wrong, and am now very confused.
The question: Elle ________ monté le poney de Jérémie et il a été très docile.
I went with "a monté". The quiz says the correct is "est monté".
Going by the Q&A, it seems like my answer was correct. I am stumped in two ways.
First, the Q&A says that avoir followed by the past participle is used for getting on a horse. This is a (pro)noun followed by a direct object. The lesson uses the example a "a monté mon cheval". I'm struggling to see why the verb auxiliary would switch based on who owns the horse.
Second, assuming I have the first part wrong someone how and être is the correct auxiliary, should the correct answer not be "est montée"? The subject is feminine.
Regarding 'Ils ________ pendant les vacances." you give the answer as 'auront grandi'. Reverso gives both an avoir and an etre form forr the future anterior of grandir. I assumed as this was intransiitive it would be the etre form?
I think I may need a bigger dictionary! I am struggling to find the appropriate word. For example:
Le sol versus le plancher
imparable versus imbattable versus incomparable versus inégalable
évident versus manifeste.
Also the suggested answer "je vais faire une machine" seems to translate as "I'm going to make a machine"

Why is it DES autres langues?

I thought an extra 'e' was required because of la langue?
I am still confused about whether should I use Des or Les
Je veux des bonbons
Je veux les bonbons
Why the second sentence wouldn't be correct?
I think Kwizik always uses "Multiple choice" questions for this section. Could you include a question where we have to write the answer or part of the answer.
I was under the impression that for the abstracts, we could use en... so when I wrote en besoin , I was marked wrong ... pls explain why?
Hi guys,
I have some questions. Hope you all can help me to understand.
While it is clear that stress pronoun is always after another noun, how do we decide the order if there are 2 stress pronouns together?
Is it
“toi et moi” or “moi et toi”
“toi et elle” or “elle et toi”
“moi et elle” or “elle et moi”
Is it the same as English when first-person related pronouns always come last (You and I, him and me) and second-person related pronouns always come first (you and him, You and I)?
Thank you in advance.
