Re - not being able to use a conjugated verb after le lendemain.

The following sentence is given as an example in a dictionary explanation for "le lendemain".

"Il a été décrété que le lendemain serait un jour férié".

Is this sentence grammatically incorrect because it uses the conjugated verb serait after le lendemain?

Why imparfait why not passé composé

In sentence i had to take it with me you have used je devais le prendre avec moi but as per lesson we should have used passé composé because the sentence is i had to

Why is the adverb not following the verb?

Why is the final phrase "je mettrai mon réveil plus tôt!" and not "je mettrai plus tôt mon réveil!"? I though adverbs come directly after the verb.

practice on specific grammar points

Is there a way to target a specific language point?  For example, if I look at an explanation of a particular point, then 'notebook' it, sometimes there is a mini kwiz below, but is it possible to get more practice on one particular topic?

When one of the subjects is an inanimate object

I'm trying to work out what to do when the two subjects are a person and something inanimate. Basically I want to say "I miss you and Paris" - and can only come up with "Toi et Paris me manquent" which doesn't seem right, or "Toi et Paris me manquez" -which definitely seems wrong! Maybe this is something you just can't say in French?

Why LE instead of DE in Manquer deThe correct answer is posted as “

J'ai manqué le concert de Michael Jackson en 1992 à Paris.” But the lesson says you don’t need partitive pronoun when meaning lack/missing something but you need DE. So why is it “J’ai manqué le concert’ not “J’ai manqué de concert”?  Thanks.
