Use of “marque”I''m wondering if there is a lesson already in Kwiziq that might help me with my confusion around the use of "marque" below in sentences I read elsewhere:

1. C'est une marque de voitures anglaise

2. Nous désirons acheter une voiture d'une marque anglaise

The What are the rules of placing marque relative to voiture and anglaise? Why is there repetition of "une" in #2 to refer to each noun (voiture/marque), when there is no such repetition in #1? I was expecting to see "Nous désirons acheter une voiture de marque anglaise" (similar to the structure in #1). Thanks for your help! Rod

mettre vice porter

I am guessing that the verb "mettre" was chosen over "porter" because the latter had already been used twice; otherwise "porter" would have been an acceptable choice in "...toutes mes tenues de soirée en même temps. " Am I right?

Use of "chez" in example

Please explain the use of "chez" in the example: Qu'est-ce qui te plaît chez Anna ? with the translation "What do you like about Anna?" I'm confused about the use of 'chez.' Merci!

D'ici in the past?

Can you use d'ici in the past? For example, can I say: "La semaine dernière j'ai beaucoup travaillé, a tel point que d'ici vendredi j'étais crevée."?
