Salut, pourquoi est-ce on utilise "etre" au lieu d'avoir dans la phrase dessous:
"je me suis soudain rendu compte que..."
In the first line, "...I used to sleep all the time." Instead of "je dormais tout le temps", can I write "j'avait l'habitude de dormir tout le temps"?
In the Fall/Automne quiz I put marron for chestnut but was marked wrong. Why?
I came across these examples: 1)" L'hôtel est rue.."My understanding from this lesson is that 'est rue' can only be used with se promener.2) The 2nd question pertains to whether dans or sur can be used with location E.g." L'hôtel est sur la rue.../la place... Could you clarify please.
Why is "que tu m'as fait." translated as "you gave me" -
Je me souviens du premier cadeau que tu m'as fait. / que tu m'a donné?
I remember the first gift you gave me.
How could I say "I can go a day without you" (for example) using the same "se passer de"? I know we can say "Je peux me passer de toi pendant un jour" but could I eliminate the "pendant" and say something along the lines of "Je peux me passer de toi un jour" or "Je peux me passer un jour de toi" (but here you have to split them)?
If not, what would be the correct way to say it? Maybe "pendant" still has to be there in cases such as these?
For wild boars, can we use 'le marcassin'?
as jewellery is plural why is a used rather than aux?
