In this “Qui est-ce ?” podcast series, Kwiziq’s own super detectives Aurélie and Céline will test your investigative skills as they give you clues (en français bien sûr !) to guess a famous Francophone personality. Here’s some useful vocabulary featured in this podcast to help you conduct your investigation:
- tenir à [faire] = to really want to [do] / to care to [do]
- remercier [quelqu’un] = to thank [someone]
- un domaine d’investigation = an area of investigation
- s’attaquer à [quelque chose] = to take [something] on
- marquer [quelque chose] = to leave one’s mark on [something]
- un indice = a clue
- il s’agit de [quelqu’un] = it is [someone]
- un calepin = a notepad
- légendaire = legendary
- débuter = to start
- les années 70 = the 1970s
- suivre une formation de danseuse = to train as a dancer
- gracieux/gracieuse = graceful
- remporter un César = To win a Cesar Award [French equivalent to the Oscars]
