Why is the imparfait used here and not the passé composé ? The author only wrote this once.
I want to learn how to read french and speak fuently
In the question Aurélie mange ___________ , with the translation Aurélie eats bread, the answer Aurélie mange le pain is marked as wrong in favour of Aurélie mange du pain. But surely Aurélie mange du pain means Aurélie is eating some bread, and Aurélie eats bread means that she eats bread in general, so should therefore be translated as Aurélie mange le pain.
why is it: ils ont des dollars et des euro.
Why use des, not les as money is coutable?

In the question...
Comment ________ tes vacances ?How are your holidays going?... I wrote "vont" instead of "se passent". Why is that unacceptable, given that you can say "Comment allez-vous?"? Can you only use "aller" with people to mean "go" in this sense?
I didn't finish this exercise the first time round. I've come back to it - a long time later - but unfortunately it doesn't remind me which words/phrases to look up in advance, so had to guess all of them! Please could you do a reminder for when this happens?
