Can you explain grammatically the construction if this phrase?  I get that it means "we got home from school", but it seems unnecessarily complicated.  Could you not say "nous étions retourné de l'école"?

In "économiser beaucoup de l'argent", why is there a definite article after the "de"?

Why is ‘de carte postale’ used with cocoiters (coconut trees) and not sable (sand)? The English sentence uses postcard white sand, not post card coconut trees

So why is it that 1e, 2e, 3e, is only used for ranks / positions and never for dates.. (except 1st/ 1e i think?)

Why is suivie made feminine in the sentence, "Ils ont passé leur samedi à flâner dans les rues de la ville, avant de rejoindre l'hôtel pour une petite séance de sauna, suivie d'un somptueux repas gastronomique" ? If it is an adjective I cannot determine what noun it is modifying.

In one of the previous lesson it was taught that we can use "par" with planes, here I use par but it was market incorrectly.
