Hello, Thanks for the clarification Ron, but I am still a bit confused. In the lesson, it says that with vivre ot être we are to use dans or nothing. Does that mean we cannot use en with the verb être. I am confused because there is an example that says "Je suis en class." That example uses être, but also uses en.

agreement of past participles of verbs that use être as auxillary verb in perfect past tense, e.g. aller; partir, etc.

Bonjour!

Verbs that use être as auxillary in the perfect past tense, must have agreement of the past participle with the subject pronoun, but what if a direct object pronoun were included in the sentence? Which of the two pronouns would a past participle agree with please? Subject pronoun or direct object pronoun? Please site an example or two with your answer if possible.

De peur que versus pour que?I wonder if yoy could write il viendra de peur que tu ne sois pas vexée as il viendra pour que tu ne sois pas vexée and if so translate it as he will come so that you will not be offended. I am just trying to work out how the subjunctive works out in english.
