I had trouble understanding the phrasing of two sentences so it was hard to translate.

What does  "Favour the water bath" mean?

And in "Add an egg yolk to the chocolate and cream mix" shouldn't it be "chocolate and cream mixture" or "chocolate-cream mixture". It could be me, but I thought cream mix was a demand to beat the batter when I read it, or mix even sounded like a premade mixture like cake mix.

In this sentence - 'Je souhaiterais presque être né dans un autre pays, de telle sorte que ma langue maternelle m'ait préparé à ces défis linguistiques' - could you have instead 'Je souhaiterais presque être né dans un autre pays, pour que ma langue maternelle 'm'ait prépraré...' ?

Bonjour, j'ai une question de grammaire. Pourquoi utilsez-vous le pronom ce dans le phrase "ce ne sont pas des freres" au lieu de "ils"?

Would it be appropriate to use "génial" as a translation of "nice!"?

Merci pour cette histoire ! je l'adore. I enjoyed getting to know your cats, Jasper and Filou. As far as I am concerned, a house is not a home without at least one cat. (Our kitty is named "Louis" and we use the French pronunciation, "Louie".)

I really love the name, "Filou" and am just curious as to the meaning.

is the near future in the imperfect the same as the subjective?  To translate something such as I "was/were going to" seems subjective to me. 

Are there translations (French into English) available for the listening/dictation exercises?  Where would I find them?  I use this to test/practice my listen comprehension as well. 

Somehow, I always translate "city" to "ville" and "town" to village.  Help me to think about this differently, if you can!
