Hello, at the question On a rendez-vous à ______ (We're meeting at six PM.) 

I wrote six heures de l'après-midi instead of the correct answer dix-huit heures. Why my answer is wrong?

Hi, I think there are too many hints in many of these exercises (including this one). Specifically, the type of hint that tells you what word or words to use. These prevent you from making your own attempt. Personally, I’d remove these.

I don't hear any liason.  Is it optional ?

Is it okay to not add anything after "sans" in this sentence: "je ne sais pas ce qu'on aurait fait sans"? I translated it as "sans elle" (elle = la piscine).

In the final sentence, I used "refroidir" instead of "rafraîchir." Is there a difference between the two?

Also for the final sentence, just wondering why "les prochains jours" isn't accepted?

In the sentence: ¨Je vais acheter des pommes de terre et des patates douces pour préparer deux types de purée.¨, I used ¨purées¨ to match the plural established by ¨types¨. 

Is ¨purée¨ always a singular noun?

According to this lesson, "Marie a manqué l'école." should translate to "School misses Marie." But in the quiz, the correct answer is "Marie didn't go to school." 

When I click on the Learn and Discuss button, it redirects me to the "manquer (de)" page, which is not what is used in the original sentence (manquer à). 

Wouldn't the proper translation be "Marie a manqué d'école"? Help is appreciated. 

There was an earlier quiz where "something fitted someone" and the answer was APADTE Á. I also remember that VA Á was not one of the options. When is 'adapte á" appropriate?

J'ai descendu les escaliers...

Je suis descendu du train...

Pourquoi "il avait répété dans sa tête" et pas "il avait répété dans la tête"?
