Le rose vs. la rose?

Are the words 'LE rose' in the 1st sentence in the lesson, in the masculine gender because 'le rose' is used as a noun? If the answer is yes, are all colours used as nouns masculine?

C'est à moiI seem to remember another lesson that talked about the the sort of construction above. Something like Whose suitcase is this? (French translation appreciated)- C'est a moi. = It's mine. I have trouble remembering the "names" of the different types of pronouns. Would it be possible to add a link to the lesson that discussed à moi, à toi, etc. ?

Why is it not "J'ai habité DEPUIS cinq ans"?This is what I seem to recall having been taught at school (admittedly, a very long time ago!).

prefix re as in rechercher, retrouver, Is there much difference between grouper & regrouper, chercher & rechercher, trouver&retrouver? The "re" prefix doesn't always seem to mean to redo as it would in english.

Why is it des fleurs and not des fleures? As i understand it, flowers are feminine.

D'animaux vs DES animauxWhy is it "Elle n'aime pas d'animaux" rather than "Elle n'aime pas DES animaux"? I didn't think that it mattered if the noun started with a vowel when it was plural; it would alway become "des" and the 's' would be pronounced in front of the vowel sound.

Why there is not liaison when we pronounce Des harricots? Should't it be pronounced as /dezaricot/ ?

joue à la/fais de la natation

As I understand the lesson, faire du/de la is used for habitual activities and joue à is used for ongoing or current activities. Is this wrong?

If not, how come "Elle joue à la natation." is wrong for "She goes swimming"?

The lesson has "Tu fais de la natation" as an example where it means the person does this habitually/in a club or something. So wouldn't "Elle fait de la natation" mean "She swims", "She's in a swimming club" or something, i.e. that she swims habitually?
