I notice that 'nul'  is used in the response for 'useless' in the passages yet 'inutile' is accepted as the preferred translation in the explanatory paragraph at the end. Why is this so?

Why is 'enchanté de vous rencontrer' a commonly used french expression not listed among the correct options for 'Pleased to meet you' ?

I was taught (in both English-taught French classes and by French-speaking people) that the use of 'on' for 'we' was very colloquial and borderline bad grammar. I was baffled by the construction of the sentence using 'we' in English. I'm annoyed to be classified as 'lower intermediate' when I am considerably more advanced than that, even if I'm out of practice. I need to practice, but won't get much if I'm getting questions at this level and being challenged only by a confusing usage.

Similar question in the quiz (instead a female buying coffee), but when I chose the "some" option (she buys some coffee), I was not granted the score. That's contradictory and confusing. Which is it? With the "some", or without?

I was asked to write "she's going to hurt him" and I answered "Elle va faire mal a lui" (accent on a). This was scored incorrect, with a proper answer of "Elle va lui faire du mal". Given that there was no way for me to know whether whe was going to hurt him physically or emotionally, I believe my answer was correct. If not, why?

The correct answer is "Tu n'habites pas ici depuis longtemps" yet the lesson shows using the passé composé in negative sentences with "depuis" Why is the correct response in the present tense?
