je l'ai rencontré is correct so I don't understand.
Could I also say "pardon" for sorry, in this case? Thank you.
En plus de "du matin, de l'aprés midi, et du soir", peut-on utilise aussi 'de la nuit'? Ou utiliserait-on 'deux heures du matin' bien que ce soit dans la nuit?
Hello!
I saw that the correct answer was "la liste au Père Noël de ma fille"; does "lire la liste de ma fille au Père Noël" sounds/is wrong to french ears? Is there some rule or lesson about this?
Thanks in advance,
Luiz
Pourquoi c'est "ces deux pates sont mises delicatement ". Ils ont mise (avec accent?) Can you explain the reasonining behind ces deux pates sont ensuits mises delicatement. Thanks for your feedback.
Just a note, when there are tips like the quote below, though this is could be very helpful, the fancy grammar terms without any down to earth french examples right after would make a lot of new students just give up without realizing an example is in the article somewhere. Maybe consider adding examples right after it, at least to save time?
Thanks for the fantastic website!
"Compound tense : en + [auxiliary] + [past participle] + [number]"
Bonjour,
There was a sentence I was working on
Do not call them after eight P.M! For this sentence the answer was
Ne Les appelle pas après huit du soir. Are they using Les here as the direct object because their is no preposition for it to be indirect?
Also why is the pronoun y in this sentence after the conjugated verb?
Tu devrais y prêter attention?
Thank you
Nicole
Do you recommend listening and repeating a listening exercises until I get it right, or just about right, or take one exercise and then move on to the next? Thanks!
Some of these sentences are a bit silly as in order to know whether a particular sentence requires a direct or an indirect object pronoun, I need to see more of the sentence. I'm getting marked down for things I can't see until the next slide.
The model provides this sentence:
Nous mangerons dans une heure.
But a quiz corrected my response of
Nous mangerons dans trente minute seulement.
With
Nous mangerons en trente minute seulement.
My understanding was that "will" was the cue for "dans", but evidently not. Any clarification will help. Thanks.
