However, "efficient" and "effective" have two very different meanings. Google Translate is equally mixing things up, but the French word "efficient" does seem to exist.
Is French less specific in these two words, or is it a misunderstanding of the difference at / error by KwizIQ?

The answer was” lui est reparti”. I wrote “il est reparti” after lui, thinking lui was only there for emphasis.
I’ve never seen lui used as the subject pronoun. Am I missing something?
does participe passé agree with direct object when "on" is the subject of the passive sentence.
