I really enjoyed the extra space in this i used je me suis vraiment amusé l'espace supplémentaire why it is marked wrong for enjoying something we use s'amuser please explain
'Some' in this sentence can be thousands of people, we cannot use 'quelques' in this case, is it? But using de numbreux sounds subjective
Could I also say "pardon" for sorry, in this case? Thank you.
I have always used imparfait for repeated events or actions in the past. However, you suggest passé composé in: "She saved up all year round" = "Elle a mis de côté..". I have found a reference that almost applies "..an action or event repeated a specific number of times" but there is no such specification here. Saving money over time seems to me to be an habitual or repeated action.
Il ne faut pas de partenaire. Can one use this to mean "You don't need a partner."
Some references say the following meaning about the verbs:
-sortir = to bring out
-sentir = to do
-repartir: to answer back,

Is it wrong to say 'Elle va gagner la course'? Why must it be Elle gagnera la course?

Is there away of knowing when to use en/ Dan's when refering to some of the above examples? Why would it not be right to say "Je crois dans la vie après la mort??
Just completely thrown by the imparfait/passé composé choices in this one. Before I started this course, I would have translated without hesitation "This has always been my favourite..." using the passé composé. However, mindful of "continuing activity in the past", I used the imparfait... and, as a result of that being wrong, thought, ok, I'll use the passé compose again at "I really wanted to see it on stage" (completed action in the past, surely?) - and of course that was wrong too. I'm really struggling to see what the logic is for using the particular tenses used here. The irony is, that if I'd followed my gut instincts and not thought about it, I'd almost certainly have got them the right way round!
