The “venir” block has the translation “ He came an hour earlier.”. Should this be “He came an hour early”? Or does the meaning really change for the “venir” context?

In the first line, "...I used to sleep all the time." Instead of "je dormais tout le temps", can I write "j'avait l'habitude de dormir tout le temps"?

So, the lesson on combining nouns says to use some form of à when describing a taste and the lesson gives the example of "glace à la vanille."  That seems consistent with my memory of "pain au chocolat."  So why is it "les œufs en chocolat" and not "au chocolat"?  Thanks.
