The table is labeled oppositely to another I have seenhttp://leconjugueur.lefigaro.fr/conjugaison/verbe/s%27asseoir.html The lists here are numbered oppositely to the link above (1st form 2nd form). The Figaro site says: La réforme de l'orthographe de 1990 autorise à écrire le verbe asseoir sous la forme assoir. I don't know the conventions of the figaro site- thus I don't know which form is the pre 1990 one, and which is post 1990. I don't know enough about verb conjugations to guess which is for s'asseoir and which is for s'assoir (same applies to this lesson). It would be helpful to give info here as to which is which. Kwiziq uses Connaître, which according to figaro is the pre-1990 version (as do other teaching sites I've seen). Same for figaro http://leconjugueur.lefigaro.fr/conjugaison/verbe/connaitre.html It says however: La réforme de l'orthographe de 1990 autorise à écrire le verbe connaître sous la forme connaitre. By comparison with s'asseoir and s'assoir, there's hardly any difference in conjugation of connaitre vs connaître (circomflex).

Is the following a correct way to approach this?Depending on the context, I really struggled to see the distinction between which tense was appropriate to use with "depuis" and the negative. (I'm sure my Kwiziq results reflect that!) I've seen it described that The Present Tense is used when an action was taken in the past and is still the case now, and that Le Passé Composé is used to describe for how long something has not been going on. That is to describe an action that was not taken in the past, and has still not been taken yet. Is this an accurate way to decide which Tense is appropriate to use in negative sentences with depuis?

''Qu'aiment-ils?'' I understand why this is a contraction of "Que aiment" and therefore means What do they like, but why can't it also be a contraction of "Qui aiment" and therefore Who do they love?

Connaitre ou SavoirSlightly confused here. In the Lawless French Savoir vs Connaitre Quiz. Question no 4 “Il veut ... ce texte par cœur” says that both savoir and connaître are acceptable. Why is the indirect object pronoun required with this expression?The verb aller does not require à so the direct object pronoun seems more correct. Also the direct object pronoun seems even more correct in the negative, when the clothing does not suit someone. Thanks.
