in the beginning of the text, could you not say, 'Je travaillais pour une organisation internationale'? it goes on say 'développions' rather than 'nous avons dévelopé...
I note that there are quests in the past to improve the content of this lesson and I am unsure whether any modifications have been made but it is still difficult to determine when devoir is an appropriate answer as well as avoid besoin de and avoir envie de. Is it that there is an infinitive following if so why only devoir and not avoir envie de as in the case of needing to buy a handbag? Surely it could be made clearer - google is not a reasonable guide and I want to understand!
In the exercise, I completed the sentence "How come you speak French? with "Comment ça se fait que tu parles français?" The answer was marked incorrect - your corrected answer being "Comment se fait que tu parles français?" I didn't see "Comment se fait que" as a choice in the notebook explanation of How come? - although "Comment se fait-il que" was also an option when How come? is followed by a conjugated verb. Please explain. Merci!
There are two phrases - 'les chiens qui se sont frottés contre' and 'dont le style ne va plus du tout avec' where the final pronoun (for 'it') seem to have been dropped. Is there any general guidance about when and why this happens ? If you could include the pronouns in these clauses, what would they be ?
Would the following also be a correct translation?
J’ai dû me résigner à appeler un taxi
as an alternative to: -
il a fallu que je me résigne à appeler un taxi
Why maison in plural is not maisones since it's female it needs to end with
'' es ''. But instead ends with just '' s '', maisons ?
