In the imperative, what is the rule for pronouncing the letter vs the letter sound ? I’ve heard both and don’t understand the difference.

« Combien d’enfants avez-vous? »
Can’t figure out why this is right. Enfants is plural.
Wouldn’t you say « J’ai des enfants. »
I do not understand why a 10 minutes de is wrong, and a 10 mins de is right. I have not yet seen the latter given as an example.
Pourquoi y dans cette phrase: J’ai fait une liste de peur qu’il n’y ait une problème?
In the third to last sentence, "puis j'enchaînerai avec quelques séries d'abdos," is "entraînerai" the correct verb? It means to work out or be in training so it seems to me it would be more appropriate here. Enchaînerai means to "be linked", in this context, does that mean to "follow or continue with"? Thanks.

In thé answers " batterais' in the final text 'battrais'
Every time I do this exercise I make the mistake of translating 'who helped viewers chose what to watch' as 'qui aidaient les téléspectateurs à choisir ce que regarder' rather than 'quoi regarder'. Why is quoi the preferred translation?
Why is passé composé used in the first sentence, Je n’ai jamais aimé… ? If you never have liked the seaside, not before and not now, isn’t that an ongoing feeling and should therefore be in l’imparfait? Isn’t it also expressing an opinion and should be in l’imparfait? What am I missing?
