In the last sentence, "nous nous écrions : "Bonne Année !", why is the verb reflexive, or, why is the second nous, needed?
Since the 1990 spelling reforms we should be allowed to write "s'il vous plaît" with or without the little hat (circonflexe) on the "ï", but this exercise doesn't allow us the option of leaving it off (in either of the 2 sentences where it occurred).
Also (and this is even more minor) the "hint" gave us the wrong spelling of "Guinness", although it was then correct in the actual answer.
why not en passant or il se trouve? I don't understand usage of "justement" here for "as it happens"

Hi just for further clarification, is it when the 'people' are anonymous and a group e.g les peuples, les gens, les acteurs etc etc can you use'en' to address them? And is it then only when people are named like Marie, ma mère etc etc that you have to use de + stress pronouns?

I have noticed that my scores, which once sat at 100% in all 6 levels, sometimes move backwards to, say, 99% without my having attempted a test at that level. I do not do the quizzes in the daily emails but I do do the weekly dictees and writing tests. Can these have effects on the dashboard level scores? Or does Kwiziq just knock off some points if it is has been a very long time since you did a test. Or could it be that I did a "Test recommended" and it threw in a test for a level that was already at 100%, even though I had another level that was at 99%?
I notice that the preferred translation of 'which makes him the first Frenchman to be in charge of the ISS' is 'ce qui fait de lui le premier Français en charge de la SSI' rather than 'ce qui en fait le premier ...'. All the grammar books I look at say that en can stand for 'de' plus a person - but I can see that in practice 'en fait' for 'makes him' is almost never said in French. Is it just too literary for this kind of phrase?
Do you use un or une when using nous and vous? I'm studying professions in sentences, and 2 of the sentences went as follows:
"Nous sommes ____ ____________" (The profession was a journalist)
"Vous etes ____ _____________" (The profession was a cook)
I'm confused on this and can't seem to find any articles online about it :(
