The English states in the text, that the tree fascinâtes the artist because of the way the branches twist, which I take to be a positive emotion, as she is fascinated by this and inspired to sculpt this. Is there a grammatical reason for this use, or just a feeling of negativity here. Thanks for any response. John
How do we know when to use , vous , nous , ils , Elle’s , I’ll , Elle, je / j' ?
I needed to use falloir in the passé simple (don't ask lol) - the verb conjugation tables in Lawless say that it's il faillit, but other sources say it's il fallut. The latter seems more logical given that the past participle is fallu - but which is correct? Or is there a typo in the conjugation tables.,
how can on veut mean we want when its singular?
In the vocabulary list, you listed "un moment entre amoureux" but this was marked as wrong in the dictèe. Why?
C'est vraiment tard ! But he seems to be stressing "that". So "c'est" can be "that is" as well as "it is"?
I am unable to see why I should have scored only 5 out of 60 in this exercise, unless you expect me to guess where full stops, commas and exclamation marks go. This is impossible to know when only short excerpts are given by actors with slow, flat voices!
In the exercise the word favori is given as the answer when in the dictation it is prefere, with the accents I am unable to make my PC insert. Correct yourself please and my score,
I momentarily thought i had spotted a mistake: 'Chuck Berry avait vraiment le rythm dans la peau' (peau = skin), but apparently it's a french idiom, we say 'in his blood', the french say 'in his skin'. I was momentarily confused by it:
