Learn how to conjugate most verbs in Le Subjonctif Présent in French 

Look at these examples: 
Il faut que je me lave les mains.I must wash my hands.
 
Il faut que tu finisses ton travail.You must finish your work.
 
Il est important qu'il vende ses livres.It's important that he sells his books.
 
Il ne faut pas que nous mangions avec nos doigts.We mustn't eat with our hands.
 
Elle veut que vous nourrissiez les oiseaux.She wants you to feed the birds.
 
J'aimerais qu'ils répondent à mon message.I would like them to answer my message.
 
To form the Le Subjonctif Présent of most verbs, you need to:
- Take the ils/elles form of the verb in Le Présent (Indicatif)

- Remove the -ent ending and use the new stem with the following endings:  -e, -es, -e, -ions, -iez, -ent 
To help you understand this pattern, here's a list of -er*, -ir, -dre* and -re* verbs in the Le Subjonctif Présent.
 
COUPER (to cut)
In the case of -ER verbs, the Le Subjonctif Présent forms will be almost identical to the Le Présent (Indicatif), except for nous and vous which are the same as in L'Imparfait (Indicatif):

(Subjonctif Présent) que je coupe

FINIR (to finish) - regular 2nd group -IR verbs

que vous finissiez
 
qu'ils/elles finissent

PARTIR (to leave) - irregular 3rd group -IR verbs

(Indicatif Présent) ils/elles part-ent
(Subjonctif Présent) que je parte
  que tu partes
  qu'il/elle/on parte
  que nous partions
  que vous partiez
  qu'ils/elles partent
 
VENDRE (to sell) 

(Indicatif Présent) ils/elles vend-ent
(Subjonctif Présent) que je vende

ÉCRIRE (to write)
